Transfer or Redeem from a Deceased Owner — All Provinces Except Quebec
Please refer to Estate Transfer Form and Guidelines (ETRF) for detailed information on transferring or redeeming a Government of Canada Retail Debt instrument from a deceased owner for all provinces other than Québec.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST
- Complete the Estate Transfer Form (ETRF).
- Once completed, mail the form, along with the unsigned physical certificate bond(s) (if applicable) and legal documents (if required) to Customer Service’s Transfer & Exchange Unit.
- You can contact Customer Service for additional information. Financial Institutions can contact a Financial Institution Customer Service representative.
